DIY UAV Video
Great video on creating your own Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV). They have created a UAV for uncle $1,000. This is of interest to me as I work for a defense contractor that builds UAVs. Now when thinking about the millions in this industry imagine being able to create your own UAV using cheap products. On the other side imagine if this technology was utilized by criminals to do reconnaissance on potential areas that could be hot spots for police. This technology would allow the criminals to have more power over the police. Now when thinking about the negatives imagine if the police themselves had this technology as well. rather than rushing into danger one could view everything from the sky away from harm.
Homemade UAV for Personal Use
Please view this interesting vehicle for having your own personal Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). this is a great short video to show what technology is available now.

Strayer University Trip to NAVSEA Undersea Warfare Center
Tonight we had two CIS170: Information Systems for Criminal Justice classes in Second Life participating together in a joint learning session. This event had a small number of individuals present however those who attended were able to understand why this virtual platform was chosen for the method to have class.
The Navy Undersea Warfare Center is not only a place for public information about the US Navy's advanced technical capabilities, but also a sandbox for innovative ideas and concepts about the potential of undersea warfare. Location is secondlife://USS%20Nautilus/123/80/26
I would like to thank the students who made tonight's class exciting.
